SCHOOL OF VENETIAN PLASTER FINISHES

MONOCOL in collaboration with LUIGI CARIMATI
who is Luigi Carimati?

The Collaboration

Luigi Carimati, an Italian artisan, is often credited with introducing Venetian plaster to Australia, although it’s widely believed that Italian craftsmen played a significant role in bringing this technique to the country.

Venetian plaster, also known as marmorino or stucco veneziano, became popular in Australia in the late 20th and early 21st centuries as a luxurious interior finish. Today, Venetian plaster is widely used by architects, designers, and homeowners for its beauty and durability.

Monocol in colaboration with Luigi Carimati have put together this comprehensive lime-based stucco and marmorino training course, that specializes in teaching traditional techniques for creating stuccos and marble-like finishes using lime. These methods are key to Italian and international decorative arts and craftsmanship.
